Senriyama Girls' High School

Senriyama Girls' High School

Senpo: Toki Onjouji

Voice Actor: Yui Ogura
A third-year who plays Senpo.
The ace of Senriyama Girls'.
She tends to be sickly.

Ability: When the ability is activated, she can see her next tsumo tiles
Even when the ability is not active, she can identify other players' winning tiles in her hand

Initial Stats Ability ★★★
Spirit ★★
Tsumo ★★★
Haipai ★★★
Luck ★★★
Tsumo Adjustment Chiitoitsu, Junchan
Haipai Adjustment Sanshoku, Ittsuu, Honroutou, Chanta, Chiitoitsu
Ability Activation Timing Future Sight: At the start of a round (activated at will)
Winning tile detection: Always active (no activation effect)

Special Cut-In Conditions

5 = / 6 =

Match-Only Voice Lines

“Double… two ahead…!” ...The first time she uses 2 turns
“Triple… three turns ahead…!” ...The first time she uses 3 turns
“Riichi…!”
“Tsumo!”

Mechanics

When the ability is activated, she can see the tsumo tiles from 1 to 3 turns ahead,
and she can freely choose how many turns ahead to look.
The more turns ahead she looks, the more heavily Spirit is consumed.

Tsumo tiles seen with the ability are never shifted by calls.

Up to the 13th tsumo, excluding the first, she can reliably draw what she saw. (If she is blocked, she draws something different from what she saw.)
From the 14th onward she can still see them, but the ability's effect ends, so she ends up drawing different tiles.

Haipai adjustments and tsumo adjustments are applied depending on the Ability value.
Also, maxing out Ability or Luck slightly decreases the number of times she can see.
It has been found that there are no stacking adjustments or tsumo adjustments based on the Ability value.

With Spirit at MAX, the maximum is:
3 turns ahead: 5 times
2 turns ahead: 2 times
1 turn ahead: 1 time

With Spirit at ★2, the maximum is:
3 turns ahead: 2 times
2 turns ahead: 1 time

Also, with some margin of error,
3 turns ahead x1 = 1 turn ahead x7
2 turns ahead x1 = 1 turn ahead x3
3 turns ahead x1 = 2 turns ahead x2 + 1 turn ahead x1
which are equivalent.
Each draw wears down Spirit by roughly 0.5 to 1 turn's worth.

Strategy

Since the ability has no stacking or tsumo adjustments, leaving the Ability value unallocated is fine for now.
Haipai and Spirit at MAX are recommended.
Basically, Tsumo and Luck at MAX are also recommended.
Intimidation and Resistance, the remaining stats, are up to your preference.

A kokushi musou-looking haipai can be seen, but actually winning with it is extremely rare.
It is more of a combined adjustment of honroutou + chiitoitsu.
If Future Sight has no chiitoitsu tsumo adjustment, actively call and aim for honroutou + toitoi or chanta-type hands.

Mechanics

After the ability is activated, she can see the completed winning shape only once, at the haipai. (After that it cannot be checked again.)
The tiles needed for the completed shape are displayed in blue.

Number of times the ability can be activated by Spirit
★4-4.5: 4 times
★5-7.5: 5 times
★8-9.5: 6 times
★MAX: 10 times

Winning hand shape patterns from the ability
(1) Iipeikou
(2) Sanankou
(3) Ryanpeikou
(4) Tanyao + Iipeikou
(5) Sanshoku + Iipeikou
(6) Tanyao + Ryanpeikou
(7) Tanyao + Sanshoku + Iipeikou
(8) Junchan + Sanshoku + Iipeikou
(9) Chinitsu + Ittsuu
(10) Chinitsu + Ittsuu + Iipeikou
(11) Tsuuiisou

(1) and (7) are very common, and these two together account for about 50% of the total.
They are followed by (4) and (5), then (8), (9), and (10), then (2), (3), and (6).
As for (11) tsuuiisou, it is chosen very rarely, and in most cases the ability gets cut off at the haipai (described below).

Depending on the Ability value, the number of stacked tiles in the haipai and the average tenpai speed change.
No points allocated: 7-8 tiles; average tenpai speed: turn 13
MAX: 9-10 tiles; average tenpai speed: turn 7
The tsumo rate of the completing tiles simply goes up, so the riichi-ippatsu rate inevitably rises as well.
Also, rarely, even when the completed shape is visible, you may fail to win and the hand ends in a draw. (You will reach tenpai by the last turn at the latest.)

This ability is not affected by calls, and there are quite a few wasted draws.
While the ability is active, it is not affected by the base Haipai and Tsumo values.

Strategy

The differences from Eislinn, who has a similar ability, are:
1. It is not affected by calls
2. There are wasted draws
3. The number of stacked haipai tiles is large
4. Occasionally you can't win all the way to the end
5. It can be activated at will
and so on.

If you are going to use the ability, leaving Haipai and Tsumo unallocated is fine.
The number of uses changes by as much as 4 between Spirit 9.5 and MAX, so MAX is a must.

Also, you can only see the completed shape at the start, so try to remember which tiles will come.
You will often reach tenpai before the completed shape comes together, so if your wait tile is included in the completed shape, it is fine to riichi immediately.
If the wait tile is not in the completed shape, you will almost never be able to win, so be careful.

Bugs

Very rarely, at the haipai after the ability is activated, the ability gets cut off regardless of other players' control (with high probability on a tsuuiisou haipai).
The trigger conditions are still unknown, but:
(1) One of the tiles is already complete as a kantsu at the haipai (in the tsuuiisou case, it often gets cut off because an honor tile forms a kantsu)
(2) The number of tiles needed for the completed shape has been gathered beyond a set value (11 or more?)
and so on.

Comments

  • I've written out the Haipai Adjustments for each character as far as I know them. I've barely researched them yet, so I'd be glad if you could keep adding to and correcting this. --- (2018/02/27 22:56:35)
